If you were at the last meeting you would have heard Winston's vocational speech - thank you again to Winston for sharing some of your history with us - now we know the tie isn't just for our meeting!

This weekend is Dinner in White, so if you aren't attending, please hold you thumbs that the rain holds out (water + white = awkward!)

Next - we need to call all volunteers!
A few events are coming up and each needs a few extra hands...
1) September 10th - car show. Can you keep a hot dog on a BBQ? Can you flip a burger? Please reach out to Chris!
2) Halloween: Stroud Dental is asking us to flip pancakes and serve hot chocolate (we may still be needing a good sized griddle). Ken and Al are running with this for now, so please offer your help to them.
3) Innisfilm has kindly offered assistance in documenting the Trail (a joint Rotary & Innisfilm production). Featuring - YOU, filmed by - YOU!
Please help out but capturing any related meetings or events....cellphone footage is good, and we will hope the professionals can snip, cut and fix our bits and bobs into a short film for posterity! ... Also - any one up for coordinating the project with Innisfilm? We need to keep an open communication channel - can you help?
4) Sponsorship! Know anyone who needs to improve their visibility? Barrie Huronia club is seeking sponsors for the next cash calendar!
5) Donations - Christmas for Kids has their Back to School program running. Any school supplies you can spare are greatly appreciated - lets show the kids that the world does care about them! (Anne and Sue can coordinate the giving with you!)

Last, but not least, we have a series of interesting speakers lined up, so I encourage you to come by and hear them speak!
Aug 24: Ron Enwright on Human Trafficking
Aug 31: ADG Doug Moody
Sep 21/16: DG will be visiting.

Have a great weekend - and don't forget to
in hope that we don't need
